
To confirm your reservation, the Rental Agreement/Deposit Request must be signed and received back in our office no later than the requested date (Advance Required By) on the contract, along with the payment amount indicated on the contract (Advance Now Due), which will equal approximately half the reservation amount. YOUR DEPOSIT AND ALL MONIES WILL BE PLACED IN AN INTEREST BEARING ACCOUNT AT FIRST CITIZENS BANK, SNEADS FERRY, NORTH CAROLINA.
Final payment, including the Damage Deposit (if applicable), is due no later than 30 days prior to your arrival. Please be sure to mark your calendar, because we do not send out reminder notices. If the balance is not received by the due date, we may treat the reservation as a cancellation and make every effort to re-rent the house in order to minimize your loss (see Cancellations section). Please Note: No personal checks will be taken later than 30 days prior to arrival. All reservations taken within 30 days preceding arrival must be paid by certified funds, Visa, MasterCard or money order. There will be a $35 fee on all returned checks.
DAMAGE DEPOSIT WAIVER PLAN: In lieu of a Damage Deposit, Coastline Realty offers a Damage Deposit Waiver (DDW) Plan. (Not available on all properties) This option allows you to obtain a plan that will cover up to $1,500 for accidental damage. Securing DDW protection in lieu of the Damage Deposit does not negate your responsibilities as a tenant. You must notify Coastline Realty in writing of any damage or theft to the unit during your occupancy, or this plan is void. If you choose not to participate in the plan, initial where indicated on the Rental Agreement, and your final balance will be adjusted accordingly. Payment for the DDW Plan will not be accepted after the guest occupies the unit. The cost for this coverage is $45.00 and is not refundable. A brochure will be sent with your paperwork that explains this plan in detail. (Note: Damage Deposit Waiver Plan may also be referred to as Security Deposit Waiver Plan.)
TRAVEL INSURANCE: To make sure you have a relaxing, worry-free vacation Coastline Realty offers CSA’s Travel Protection Plan to cover numerous events including illness, injury or death of you or a family member, hurricanes, and other defined perils. The insurance charges will be automatically added to the charges on your Rental Agreement. If you choose not to purchase this optional insurance, you MUST decline this charge in your initial reservation deposit request by initialing where indicated on your Rental Agreement. We recommend purchase of the insurance so you will be financially reimbursed in the case of a covered event. A brochure describing this new service will be mailed to you with every Rental Agreement. If you choose not to purchase the insurance, no refunds will be given in the event of cancellations, including hurricane evacuations.
UNIT TELEPHONE: Not all units have telephones. You are not allowed to charge long distance calls or other services to the unit phone. You may place long distance calls using your calling card. You may receive calls as long as no charges are incurred towards the unit’s phone. Any call billed to the unit (including directory assistance) will be billed to you by Coastline Realty plus a $10 service charge.
PET POLICY: Only a few of our properties allow pets. It is the tenant’s responsibility to make sure you rent a pet-friendly house if you are planning to bring a pet. (Non-refundable pet fees apply.) Violators of this policy will be subject to immediate eviction without refund of occupancy fee or damage deposit.
ITEMS TO BRING: Each property and its furnishings reflect the taste of the owner and not Coastline Realty. You must bring bed and bath linens (sheets and towels), paper products, kitchen towels, beach towels, beach furniture and non-abrasive cleaning supplies. Towels and linens are available upon request. Please inquire regarding prices.
DEPARTURE CLEANING: All weekly rentals include departure cleaning. We ask only that our rental families have all the dishes, cups and glasses cleaned and put away, all dirty linens removed from beds and placed in the entry/foyer area, and all garbage removed from the house and placed in a roll cart or placed in the appropriate outside receptacle. Our housekeeping staff will do the rest for you! Each unit is inspected after every departure and renters may be charged for extraordinary cleaning due to failure to do the above listed requirements.
PLEASE NOTE: The GUEST understands that the accommodation is privately owned, including the furnishings, and neither Coastline Realty, nor the OWNER, shall be responsible for providing any additional furnishings or equipment not available or presently on the premises. Certain areas, such as locked closets and fireplaces are reserved for the exclusive use of the OWNER and will not be available for the use of the GUEST. All decor and service items in the unit are privately owned and provided. Please respect them as you would your own property. DO NOT REARRANGE FURNISHINGS OR LEAVE ANY FURNISHINGS OUTDOORS (EXCLUDING DECK FURNITURE). Coastline Realty is not responsible for articles lost, stolen, or left behind in the rental units.
